In case you've just done this:
FlashAnOrangeSPVC600WithTheImateROM, Here's how to get data services working (MMS being the real bitch) on a newly flashed C600, for Orange UK. This probably applies to other WM5 devices for Orange UK.
In case you're curious, if you request these details through the orange site via Sim update, the phone backlight comes on as the message comes in, then nothing at all happens. This is okay, as we hacker bitches are down with doing things manually, and scouring forums all day to find information. Luckily for you, I have been the hacker bitch for the day, and saved you the effort. Enjoy.

DONE!
November Fool! The above is only half the fix. Let's proceed...
12) dowload
this reg editor∞, copy it over to your phone somewhere, then execute it via File Manager (or create a proper shortcut to it in your phone's Start Menu via
ActiveSync's Explorer if you plan to regularly hack shit up).
13) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\
ConnMgr\Providers\<GUID>\Connections\Orange MMS, where <GUID> is the one that actually contains those child keys. You'll find it, don't worry. It might be 7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA, if you followed the steps above to the letter, case sensitive and all.
14) Look at the values under this key. There's a String called
DestID, which holds a GUID that you need to write down now.
15) Back up out of this key and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\
ConnMgr\Destinations
16) Make a new key called "MMS Connection", if it doesn't already exist, which it shouldn't unless witchcraft has occurred. Call your nearest bishop if so, using reference codeword WITCHY. He'll know what to do. He's trained.
17) Under this key, create the following values:
String "Default" : "Orange MMS"
String "
DestId" : <the GUID you wrote down from the provider above>
DWord "Secure" : 0
18) Exit regedit and go into Settings > Connections > GPRS > Orange MMS, and change "Connects To" to "Orange MMS".
That should be it. Praise be to
Barcelos∞for finding the relevant reg keys on his vanilla C600.
